Tik Tok For Beginners

Getting More Likes & Followers On Tik Tok Fast.

How Long Should Your Tik Tok Be?

Tik Tok For BeginnersTik Tok For Beginners will give you all the helpful tips like how long should your Tik Tok be:

Make your Tik Tok between 11 to 17 seconds long. You have to keep in mind that the attention span of the user is about 3 seconds and that’s the amount of time you have to hook them so they’ll continue to watch.

A Tik Tok that is from 11 to 15 seconds needs 100% watch time in order for it to be put on the #FYP, For You Page, giving it a chance to go viral.

Getting Likes

There are a lot of apps that claim to be able to get likes and followers for your Tik Tok account. I say use these at your own discretion. If you’re thinking about using something like that, before you start, listen to what your instincts are telling you. If you have to ask yourself if it’s the right thing to do, then that could be your instincts saying NO, IT’S NOT OK.

Judging from my background in Whitehat SEO, I would be cautious using these types of apps. They may be ok today, but as the Tik Tok algorithm gets smarter, and it will, this will be a problem for all those using them. You must be patient, it will happen if you follow the guidelines and do things correctly.

It’s a good idea to follow all those who like or comment on your Tik Toks until you get to about 1 to 2 thousand followers. You don’t have to stop at that point, you just don’t have to do it as much.

Trends & Hashtags

Following things that are trending and hashtags that are trending are very important to build your following.

You can go to the discover page to find out what’s trending so you can shoot your Tik Tok around the trend. You should use 1 to 2 trending hashtags and two that are more broad or niche specific depending on your situation.

Use the Duets feature in Tik Tok to do reactions to Tik Toks that are already trending and viral. It’s a great way to introduce yourself to other users.

Engagement & Going Viral

In order for your Tik Tok to go viral, it has to have at least 30% engagement in order for the algorithm to start putting it on more For You pages, thus making it go viral…again, be patient and just because you have one Tik Tok that has gone viral, it doesn’t mean your next will do the same.

When your Tik Tok does go viral, repost it several times per day or per week, but do not take any of them down.

Ask people to engage, CTA (Call To Action), right after the Hook, which should be in the first 3 seconds. The hook is something that will stop making them scroll through all the Tik Toks and make them watch yours. It could be anything, an image, text, colors or all those. Get creative, think outside the Tik Tok box and do it better.

You should also put your CTA in the description of your Tik Tok. You can say something like “Click like if this has happened to you”, or “share if you can relate” or “share this with someone you think should watch it”.

Best Times To Post Your Tik Tok

As a rule of thumb, the best time to post your Tik Tok should be between 10am – 2pm, 4 – 6 pm and after 7 pm. These should be in your timezomes or whichever timezones you are targeting.

Think about those times for a second. The first block of time is when people might usually get breaks and goes all the way through lunch time

The second block of time, it’s close to the end of the work day for some and others are alreaady done and at home.

The third time is after people are home, they’ve had dinner and are now online scrolling through Tik Toks. What will you do to make them stop and watch yours?

You can even theme your Tik Tok around the time of day and what people may be doing or thinking about. If people are at a 9 to 5, the chances are good that they don’t want to be there. If you’re at a 9 to 5 while reading this, you may want to check out our 40 Ways To Make Money Online post.

A great way to learn when the best time to post is to go to the discover page and search for trending videos in your niche and take note of what times those Tik Toks were posted.

How Many Tik Tok Posts Per Day

Again, as a rule of thumb, you should post from a minimum of 2 times per day up to as many as 6 times per day. That seems a bit daunting, but it’s not really, considering you’re shooting 15 second videos. Of course this will be different from niche to niche, but when starting that’s a good rule of thumb to go by.

Other metrics for you to look at are when are your followers, or users in general most active, and best performing times for your account.

The key is to test, test and test some more. Check out more about Tik Tok at Quick Start Digital Academy
