It’s really not hard, I started in 2008 after getting laid-off from a corporate job…that was my inspiration to NEVER WORK FOR ANYONE ELSE EVER AGAIN! That is the day, September 10, 2008 that I truly started my Digital Nomad Lifestyle<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>I made that promise to myself that day, as I drove out of the parking garage of that job, it was a happy day!! I’m single, had no big bills, aside from the usual, the only other thing I had to think about were my two cats, Underfoot and Weetas…they were my children. That’s my boy Underfoot on the right, he died June 2011, 6 months before we were all going to Mexico.<\/p>

We went down for the month of August 2011 and rented a house in Sayulita, the next town south of San Pancho, where I ended up moving. I took that picture in front of Oxxo (Mexican version of 7-11). It was about 6 am and we were on our way to L.A. to get ready to move to Mexico.<\/p>
I had already been doing SEO (Search Engine Optimization) since 1998, so I had my Digital Nomad skill in place. I started getting clients almost right away. When I was laid-off, they gave me 2 pay periods, my sick days and the amount of vacation time I had, so I had a bit to hold me over for a couple months. That and the clients I started getting was a great start.<\/p>
They laid-off about 20 people that day, I was the first, they gave two pay periods so I wouldn’t go and tell everyone that they were laying people off. They had me sign an agreement too. I was going to quit soon anyway, so the timing was perfect. It goes along perfectly with the concept of One Consciousness. I was thinking about quitting a lot and the Universe provided.<\/p>
My point is, if you can’t afford to quit your job, don’t until you can. Just start doing whatever it is you want to do on the side. The list below is just that, a list of possibilities, think outside the box, you can do anything you can think of. If you think of something, just do it, no procrastinating, don’t let the 100th Monkey Effect beat you to the punch. We are all part of The One Consciousness, we ARE connected, so your thoughts are being transmitted into the ether. If you procrastinate, the other monkeys will pass you by! Stay in the present, DON’T WORRY about the “what if’s”, they don’t exist. If you keep worrying about things that may or may not happen, guess what? You will find yourself in those situations.
